The Association of Thessalian Enterprises and Industries (STHEV) is an institutional representative of the business community in the Region of Thessaly, Greece, bringing together approximately 350 member enterprises, including some of the country’s major businesses. Its mission is to provide high-quality services that support entrepreneurship, business development and employment across the region.
STHEV works through an extensive network of businesses, universities, research institutions, national and private business-support organisations, and international business networks. Through these partnerships, it promotes cooperation between enterprises and knowledge institutions, strengthens links between research and industry, encourages innovation and supports the international outlook and competitiveness of regional businesses.
A key area of STHEV’s work is the development of workforce skills and the connection between education and the labour market. The Association organises training programmes, information events and specialised workshops to strengthen the skills of business personnel. It also connects jobseekers and graduates with member companies, helping businesses address their human-resource needs and supporting access to employment.
STHEV has experience in implementing and participating in national and European projects. Its activities include data collection and analysis, research development, the organisation of training, the exchange of knowledge and technological expertise, cross-border cooperation, events and the dissemination of information to small and medium-sized enterprises. Through these activities, STHEV contributes to skills development, business cooperation and sustainable regional economic growth.
Within RestaCoVE, STHEV contributes its experience in business representation, skills development and cooperation between enterprises and education. In particular, STHEV plays a key role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of project implementation by coordinating quality assurance activities, monitoring project performance, collecting feedback from partners and participants, and promoting continuous improvement.
